The course describes the general theory of networking, provides practical skills, and opportunities for career development and professional skills. The course is built on a study of the use of networks, and includes key concepts in the context of different situations that students may need: from small and home office (SOHO) networks to more complex enterprise environments and theoretical models (at the end of the course). CCNA Discovery is an alternative course to CCNA Exploration and gives the same (in practice - a little smaller) amount of knowledge.

Purpose of the program is to prepare students the fundamental theory and practice of designing, building, and technical support of local and wide area networks using common standards and solutions.
